I have decided to do a self-care/self-love Sunday blog post, every week. We all struggle with loving and taking care of ourselves, sometimes it isn’t always about what’s on the outside. Every Sunday I will share a post where I discuss different ways you can practice self-love/ care and reach relaxation.
Today’s post we’re going to talk about Pedicures at Home. What can I say? Im a gal on a budget who loves to pamper herself.
Are you a mom? An exhausted parent? Do you work odd hours or barely have time for yourself? Then this post may be for you. I’m going to tell you how you can pamper yourself at home, on a budget.
I have a very active toddler, a busy schedule, and a budget. I can’t schedule manicures and pedicures every few weeks, it’s just not realistic. I was browsing CVS one day when I came across this simple, but awesome Manicure Kit. It was only $9.99 I had to buy it! I’ve always done my nails at home, I would cut, file, and polish them every two weeks. I enjoyed that “me” time. However, I felt I could take it a step further and pamper myself a bit more. After purchasing the manicure kit, I ordered a Conair Foot Spa from Target, and a bag of Lavender Epsom Salt from Jacuzzi.com. I was all set to do my own pedicures!
Honestly, I know what you’re thinking, “it’s so much work, why don’t I just pay someone to do it?” my answer? Because you don’t need to. It’s wonderful having someone else do these kind of tasks for you, but it’s relaxing to sit at home with a glass of wine or coffee, light some candles, put on your favorite playlist and just unwind while the foot massager does the job. Every gal should know the fundamentals of nail care. Cut, file, one coat of base coat, two coats of color, and finish off with a top coat. The massager and Epsom salt just add that extra pizazz and comfort needed after a long week.
So head to your nearest Target or open up the app on your phone, and purchase yourself a foot massager. Go home and fill it with water and unwind. My tiny helper enjoys the bubbles, so she’s usually unwinding with me! 🙂
I hope you enjoyed this Sunday’s Self-Care Post. Please check back in next week for a new way to pamper yourself and practice self-love!
